Secretary: Kristin Eddy

I came to HSNB as a volunteer in 2008 and joined the Board of Directors in April of 2009.

Originally from Chevy Chase, Maryland, I was a food, travel, news and features writer for nearly 20 years at newspapers around the country, including the Washingon Post, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Chicago Tribune. Since moving to the Bay area in 2004, I've worked in the food, wine and lifestyle industries as a writer and p.r. and marketing strategist. Some of my involvement with HSNB is assisting in communication and publicity efforts, and I spend a good bit of time walking our wonderful adoptable dogs.

My home in Vallejo is so close to the Humane Society that on quiet mornings I can hear the dogs barking. I live with two cats: Bunny, who I found in 1994, and Squirrel (named by the HSNB staff!), who I took in as a foster kitten for "just a few weeks" but found impossible to hand over to someone else.
